So, you’ve created onboarding tasks and now you want to use them!
When hiring a new employee, you may want to create some tasks for yourself, a manager or for the employee themselves. Using onboarding tasks automates this process so that you can focus on what’s important.
Here you can add any tasks that need to be completed as part of the onboarding process. You can assign it to the new employee themselves, their manager, or any other person on your team. Optionally, you can also set a due date for a task before, on, or after their start date.
Your existing employees will then receive an email notification letting them know of their tasks once the employees profile has been created and the invitation has been sent, the tasks will also appear in the Collage Inbox for both your existing employees and new hires as they join your team.
There are two ways you are able to assign onboarding task when you are onboarding a new employee. Firstly this can be done when creating your new employees profile prior to inviting them onto the platform.
Secondly you can add Onboarding tasks after you have created your new employees profile and sent them the invite. This is done through the employee's profile.

When one of your employees is leaving the company there may be things that need to be done prior to their departure. Offboarding tasks can help you accomplish these things in an organized way.
Once the termination has been initiated you will be able to add an offboarding task (from your offboarding task templates) to be used. These templates can be assigned to yourself, the employee, their manager, or anyone else on the team. They can also be set up to occur before or on their last day of work.
The employee assigned to this task will receive an email notification letting them know there is a task assigned to them on Collage once the termination has been saved. This task will also appear in their Collage inbox as well as the company inbox for Admin’s to view.
