Starting with lieu time:
First, create a "Lieu Time" type in Collage (Time off > policies > types), and be sure to include it in the policy / policies it applies to. Since Lieu Time fluctuates throughout the year, we recommend setting the base allotment for this time off type to "0". (Learn more about creating a policy here.)
Two options to track Lieu Time in Collage:
Option 1) Only track days used.
Starting with 0 as the allotment for Lieu Time gives all employees in the applicable policy a starting balance of 0 Lieu Time days.
When an employee wants to use Lieu Time, they can simply navigate to their time off page, and request days under the Lieu Time category. The approval chain will follow the settings of the time off type, and so the time will be requested, approved and tracked as normal. Note that employee balances will run into the negatives. (IE - Employee starts with 0 Lieu Days, employee requests 2 Lieu Days, employee's new available balance is -2 Lieu Days.)
**TIP: this is a good option strictly for approval and tracking purposes.
Option 2) Show both banked and used days. This is a more involved process managed both within and outside of Collage. Here are the steps:
Starting with 0 as the allotment for Lieu Time gives all employees in the applicable policy a starting balance of 0 Lieu Time days.
Step 1) Employee works a weekend and therefore earns Lieu Time days (as per your internal company policies). To have these 2 Lieu Time days added to their balance, they will need to communicate with their manager or Super Admin outside of Collage (email, phone, etc.) and request the addition of these days to their available Lieu Time balance.
Step 2) Once the days have been deemed valid, navigate to Time Off > Select Lieu Time in the top right corner > then click on the -/+ icon to manually add the approved days to the balance for the employee in question:
Step 3) Employee's balance now shows two available Lieu Time days on the Summary page:
Step 4) Employee can now request time available in their Lieu Time balance from their Time Off page:
