Creating Interview Schedules

Written by Justin Granofsky

Collage supports the full scheduling workflow to help candidates book interviews with your team. This article will cover the first step of the process, which is creating an interview schedule.

Where to find interview schedules

Within the recruiting module, navigate to the "Interview Schedules" tab.

Creating your first interview schedule

1. Configure your schedule's basic details

We start by setting a name for our interview schedule. This will be used internally throughout Collage to keep track of your interview schedule.

The rest of the fields tightly correspond to the interview itself and will be visible to interview attendees.

2. Select interviewers and a meeting host

Next, we'll select who we want to be on these interviews.

These individuals will receive a calendar invite when a candidate books an interview. We will also use each interviewer's calendar to generate available times for candidates to book. That is why before we can use this interview schedule, each interviewer must connect their calendar app to Collage (see Setting up Scheduling Integrations).

We also choose an individual to be our meeting host. We'll use the meeting host's account on Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams to create a meeting.

3. Define this schedule's availability

Here, you'll tell us everything we need to know to ensure candidates are booking times that you want.

Optionally, set a minimum notice you require before an interview can be booked, and buffer time you would like between events.

Lastly, define which blocks of time you are available on any given day. Use this area to block out common lunch times, or days where your team might end early.

4. Write your invitation email

Later, when using this interview schedule in an interview invite, Collage will send an email to the candidate asking them to book an interview. On this step, you create and customize that email.

You're all set!

Once all the interviewers and meeting host have connected their apps, you can start using this interview schedule inside of interview invites.
